The 2023 MLC, being held in Orlando from September 27-29, 2023, will offer a number of options for marketing and communications staff working for missions agencies including a Public Relations Bootcamp, and several workshops. This is something I’ve been working towards for a while, and I was involved in recruiting most of the marketing and communications workshop presenters.

Since March 2021, I’ve been hosting a webinar series on the Missio Nexus platform for staff working for mission agencies in marketing and communications roles. More than 600 people have attended these webinars since they began, and we’re almost at 20 webinars! How do we align organizational communications with God’s purposes? In this webinar, Dawn Kruger and Florence Wamae provide a brief introduction to missiology and then connect it with how this can be applied to communications and marketing in a mission organizational context.
From September 28-30, 2022, I attended the Missio Nexus Mission Leaders Conference. I was a workshop presenter, and I briefly shared about EMQ with the conference attendees. The theme of the conference was “Counting the Cost,” and rather ironically given its theme, our conference proceeded through Hurricane Ian.
This year there will be two opportunities at the Mission Leaders Conference specifically for Marketing and Communication staff that work for mission agencies.
