Two Communications Webinars Coming Up

by Heather Pubols

Missio Nexus has invited me to coordinate two upcoming webinars aimed at growing the knowledge and skills of mission agency staff engaged in communications and marketing. These are free to anyone that is a Missio Nexus member or part of a Missio Nexus member organization.

  • Know Yourself and Know Your Audience – Tuesday | March 23, 2021 | 2:00pm EDT – Presented by Liam Savage of One Hope

Simon Sinek says, “People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.”

Many organizations struggle to connect with the diverse audiences they interact with. In the desire to include and serve everyone, we end up having ambiguous messages that fail to connect with the impact we hope for.

Mission agency leaders as well as agency fundraising, mobilization, marketing and communications staff, and even program development teams will benefit from this discussion on the essential mindsets and practical tools to help you grow your organization’s audience in number and depth of engagement.

Join guest speaker, Liam Savage, as he shares best-practices for audience engagement in a modern ministry context.

  • How to Tell Dangerous Stories – Tuesday | April 6, 2021 | 2:00pm ED – Presented by Heather Pubols of le Motif

Psalm 96:3 (NLT) says: “Publish [God’s] glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.”

But how do you tell stories of the glorious deeds God does when doing so could jeopardize safety? Many decide not to share these stories or only to tell them to very select audiences. However, that can inadvertently communicate to the Church that God is not doing anything in hard places.

More of these stories need to be told to provide the Church with a holistic picture of God’s work. Join our speaker, Heather Pubols, as she shares key techniques to help you successfully share sensitive stories without compromising safety. Mission agency leaders as well as agency fundraising, marketing and communications staff will benefit from this webinar’s content.
