15th Global Consultation of the WEA Mission Commission

From January 30 – February 3, I participated in the World Evangelical Alliance, Mission Commission Global Gathering. This was an invitation-only event attended by about 250 people serving in mission worldwide. The event focused on discussing:

  • Who is a participant in God’s mission today?
  • What are major priorities for God’s mission today?
  • Where ought missions to be directed and how do we get there?

I was invited to be a table group facilitator leading a small group of mission leaders in discussions after plenary speakers. As a part of the WEA-MC synergist team, I represent the interests of communications in missions. Because of this, I was also invited to be an “issue conversation” facilitator, leading discussion in a breakout session on the issue of communications innovations in missions.

The sessions were excellent, and I made so many good connections. I’ve recruited several from the event to write in EMQ for me. I’m looking forward to what they will submit.

Events like these are so important for remaining informed about what God is doing globally in missions, offering input about what missionary communicators offer to the global missions movement, and building relationships. Your support of my ministry made my involvement possible. Thank you!
